Sky Watch Friday N:o 37 - Shades of blue

Glorious skies are only a click away so move the curser to the above banner and press once.

Last week I had shades of yellow. This week I move onto another main colour in the spectrum of the sky.

Usually I prefer simple pictures but this time I thought of posting one a bit busier version.

A jackdaw in fleight

Patriotic

Self portrait

Like it was flowering

A field of ice

Night blue

Thanks to the whole SWF team for this immensly popular Friday meme

Her hadde du fått med deg mye bra. Jeg likte fuglen og flagget spesielt godt. Flagget kledde snøen og himmelen i bildene veldig bra. Og så er det jo de de tusen sjøers land?

PS Tusen takk for fine ord - og i lige måde!

Veldig flotte serie! :)
Om jeg kan velge ut noen favoritter, så har jeg to. ;)
Bildet med skyggen din er veldig fint, og bildet med det finske flagget er veldig flott. :)
Happy Sky Watch! :)

I wouldn't mind it still being winter here if it looked like your lovely photos. Have a great weekend. Greetings from Illinois in the USA.

Excellent shots as always, I especially like the one with your shadow, very creative.

Sininen hetki vs. oranssit keinovalot. Vastavärit toimii lähes poikkeuksetta, niin tässäkin. Ladut vievät katseen mukavasti kuvan sisään, tai pitäiskö sanoa maiseman. Hjyvä! (not typo) :)

Lovely lovely shots. I like seeing your shadow.

I love that shadow shot as I often do it to myself too, hahaha...so clever for posting it for SWF.

BTW, how many clouds did you see in my post? heheheh...

Love the variety of your sky shots. That tree isn't flowering? It sure looks like it is! Amazing!

Your night shot is wonderful. That is something I want to learn how to do!

All wonderful photos. Happy SWF!

Beautiful Photos, the patriotic one especially. Because of the lighting the flag looks a bit faded. We can also see clouds through the white parts as well.

Hi.

Very beautiful photos. I mostly liked: "Like it was flowering". I have never seen that tree, I think.

Really liked your water shots from an earlier post - they were great.

My favourite from this series is the last one - Night Blue.

oi kun upeita kuvia :)
mukavan keväistä viikonloppua!

Sininen ja valkoinen ovat värit vapauden... :) Self portrait hauska, noin pitääkin suhtautua siihen, kun kuvaaja on mukana kuvassa. Alimmainen on silti suosikkini. Ihanan vähäinen valo ja silti valokuva.

No more snow for me but looking at these photos change my mind. They are beautiful, I like the bird in sky, that was a close shot. Wow! and then the night blue one is also very cool. Smile, Jesus loves you.

Aivan ihania kuvia taas, omakuvakin mukana:) Tuo iltakuva kumminkin pysäyttää ihan kaikkein pisimmäksi aikaa - ihan kuin silmä tottuisi hämärään ja näkisi hetken päästä enemmän!

I was already impressed scrolling down through these, but when I got to the night shot I actually gasped. You definitely saved the best for last!

Any chance you'd share the EXIF data on that shot? I'd be especially interested in the white balance you used. It's ... perfect!

Love the two shots with the reeds.

You are indeed correct about the edit. I saturated the photo by about 20% to get the sky to be a deeper orange, but the general colors in the photo are the same as they were that morning...pink rising sun, dark purple mountains, and orange and lavender-blue sky. It was simply transcendent. Thanks for visiting!

Beautiful photographs to celebrate your sky in all kinds of different moods and colours.

Thanks for sharing with sky watch friday and thanks for your kind comments on my blog earlier.

Tarolino: You have made a neat set of photos of the sky. The flag of Finland was captured beautifully. You still look so cold for Spring, I wish you a warming season.
Beautiful music on your player.

I like your busy photo. (I like all of them.) It has so much texture, and the mound of white is wonderful!

My favourite is the night sky. I still haven't tried that yet. In the self portrait, I saw Luca, off near the ice!! looked for Ljuba, but couldn't see her.

Oh my, such a beautiful series of photographs.
Your Jackdaw in flight is amazing, because that is not always an easy feat to do but it's done wonderfully.
The self-portrait is a great idea with your shadow shot... you are bright indeed!
But yes, the prize does belong to the Night blue... outstanding work, my friend!!
It is a magical picture!
Hugs♥
