The name of February in finnish translates to pearl month. Why it's called this probably has its roots in how the snow glissens like pearls when the sun comes out.

Äiti kipuamassa lumista rinnettä alas metsässä ... Mum navigating a snowy slope in the woods

Maalaistilan rakennuksia ... A typical finnish farm

Variksen tekemä lumitähti ... A snow star made by a crow

Olisiko supikoiran jäljet ... Possibly the footprints of a raccoon dog

Lumikivaa muksuille ... Fun for the little ones

Herra ja Rouva Lumi ... Mr and Mrs Snow

Kivaa koko perheelle ... Fun for the whole family

Sultingträsk Pirttimäellä ... On a lake in Pirttimaki

Porkkalan kitukasvuinen mänty ... A typically stunted pine at the coast

Metsän siimeksessä ... Forest view

Koiratkin tykkää (ja pysyvät puhtaana) ... The dogs enjoy it too (and stay clean)

These are all stunning photographs!!! Wow, such a beautiful area.
Jäällä on mukava viettää aikaa, voi hiihtää ja kaivaa itsestänsä lapsi esiin!
Wonderful snow pictures! I like the pine very much, a little bit Asian painting.
You have a gift for capturing snow scenes. All are lovely. Some have such glorious light and shadows!
Ollut todella upeita päiviä viime aikoina. Töissä oleminen tuntuu joinakin päivinä niin turhalta. Lumikiva muksuille oli oikein hauska!
Wow, again.
Specially I liked the photo number four. But all of Your photos are so fine and adorable.
Today I made my blog from the world's biggest SnowCastle in Kemi, as I promesed earlier. 33 photos.
