Sky Watch Friday N:o 28

Time flies and here the world is again presenting the skies over the past week.

In southern Finland we finally got the winter but before that we had one rather lovely sunset. Or it was actually at its best about 20 minutes after the sun dissapeared. This was before the snow but the water was frozen, ie it was clear and quite cold.

Then it clouded over and got a bit warmer but stayed dry and here we are at one of Finland's round about 80 000 lakes, which also is frozen over.

After that it has been cloudy and quite mild but the clouds did eventually bring a welcome ingredient as I am strangely enough fond of snow.

This was round about at five pm today and the sky had a weird violet shade and it was slowly snowing.

These last two images I took after my evening walk with the dogs at about 10 pm tonight using a stand. The snowing had increased and it was quite heavy now. But no wind was blowing so it was pleasant enough at only -1 centigrades.

Sky - glorious, changeable, dramatic, grey, clear, colourful, friendly, dangerous. You will see it all by visiting sky watch each week. How to do it? Easy! Click on the below button and join the gang.

A real pleasure to watch these pictures. Here I see that much work has been done. They don't come by themselves. An once again - the foreground makes the picture!

Beautiful shots! I think the first and last are my favorites. Love the colors in the first, love the lighting in the last.

Tuo viimeisen kuvan puu näyttää niin elävältä tuossa katulampun loisteessa. Todella kauniita illan värityksiä.

I do enjoy visiting your weekly sky watch posts from the chilly north, beautiful photos.

Such glorious shot all! Very impressive collection. I too love snow but get little chance to see it except in Northern Hemisphere photos. Every season has its pleasures, and winter has snow, icicles shining in the sun and ice flowers on window panes.

Nydelige bilder! Og for noen vakre farger! Snø kan frembringe de underligste nyanser i fargeskalaen - og det har du virkelig fanget her!

Your pictures are excellent. You do a great job of low light exposure. Gorgeous colour. I am glad you finally got your snow. It does brighten the landscape.
