Sky Watch Friday N:o 25

Here comes the new year's edition and the first one in this new blog of mine. We've had such lovely wheather for the whole of Christmas and new year that it will be a bit hard to choose just a few images. Therefore please bare with me as there are again quite a few different ones.

Above images are from December 29th and it was a magical sunset.

This lovely day was on the 31st December, ie. New years Eve

Later that same evening a lovely new moon and the planet Venus was clearly shining in a bright sky.

The temperature quickly sank and today it was a rather freezing -10 centigrades. The sea froze over leaving a blue shine on top of it as not even the slimmest little breeze was blowing and moving the water around and the trees and shrubs were covered with frost. Tonight the first little heavier cloud was rising in the horizon during sunset for many many days.

Two of these photos are taken with my little pocket camera. Hense the slightly grainier quality.
Hope you enjoyed this weeks sky journey as much as I enjoyed it in reality. See you all next week.

Please go and see skies around the world by visiting:

Wow! Those are lovely. Some of those scenes look a lot like my favorite destination, the San Juan Islands in Washington. Thanks for sharing! Linnea

I can't pick out the "grainy" ones in the bunch. They're all awesome. But I think the symmetry of the second one in the series landed i n in the position of my favorite. I love the convergence of lines in the composition.

Wonderful Collection of Photos. My favourites are the second from the top with the sunset and the water channeling in and the cool evening shot with the Moon and Venus. Beautiful work.

Paljon oli hyviä Espoo-kuvia. Kuten itse sanoit, niitä voisi olla vähemmänkin:) Tuo vuori näytti hyvältä paikalta kuvailuun. Tuo kolmas kuva miellytti minua eniten.
