Elämää maalla ... Life in the country

Koirablogiani en kykene edelleenkään päivittämään enkä pahemmin katsomaankaan kun siellä on niitä Lucan kuvia joten tulkoon tänne luontoblogiini toistaiseksi muiden kuvien ohessa Ljubankin kuvat.

My doggy blog is still of the limits for me. I cannot yet quite even look at it as there are so many pictures of Luca there. Hence I will post photos of Ljuba in my nature blog for now alongside with other pictures. The weekends in the country are very therapeutic when one can dig in the soil till one drops in bed and enjoy the beauty of the countryside and the life within.

Rantaniityn punkkimagneetti ... The seaside meadow tick collector

Mitä? Onks tääl punkkeja? ... What? Are there ticks here?

Näin minä pesen ne itsestäni pois ... I'll wash them away from myself like this

Ljuban mökkinaapuri Saku, joka aina kuolaa reippaasti Ljuban nähtyään. Ljubassa on sitä jotain mikä saa pojat kuolaamaan ... Ljuba's cottage neighbour Saku, who always drools heavily at the sight of her. She's got that something to make the boys drool.

Vasikat kevätlaitumella ... Calfs on spring pastures

Utelias ... Inquisitive

Laiturin lokit (kävis bändinkin nimeksi ja yhtä äänekkäitä olivat) ... The board walk gulls (could be the name of a rock group too and they were just as noisy)

Tämä pikkuinen oli huomattavan hiljaisempaa sorttia ... This little one was of a lot more quiet nature

This pigeon must have thought that it was well hidden and would not budge from the spot

The colourful magpie had no such confidence in the camouflage quality of a tuft of grass

Nokikana halusi kai vain poseerata ... The coot possibly just wanted to pose

Maaseudun maisemia ... Countryside landscapes

Maalla ... On land

Rannalla ... By the shore line

Merellä ... Over the sea

Uusia lehtiä ... New leaves

Ikivihreä vanhus ... Evergreen oldie

Vesilisko lammessa ... A newt in the pond

Toinen lammen asukki ... Another pond dweller

Liljakukko, joka pääsi kuvaan ja kuoli. Näitä kun emme lijoihimme halua. ... A lily beetle that had its picture taken and then died. These we do not want eating up our lilies.

Murkut vanhassa kannossa ... Ants in an old tree stump

Missäs olet ukko koko illan luuhannut kun keon suursiivous on meneillään?! ... And where have you husband been hiding all evening when we have the spring clean of the ant hill?!

Perhosten mukana liihotellut tietenkin ... Been fluttering about with the butterflies no doubt

If Mrs ant would take things a bit lighter like us butterflies her life too would just fly along

... This how it is with us humans too. Some of us are hard workers while others flutter about from one place to another.

My sympathies on losing your old dog. Mine just died, too, and it's sad to lose an old friend. But we have many happy memories, yes?

Your nature photos are beautiful, too, and I enjoyed my virtual visit to Finland.

Så fint å se aktivitet hos deg igjen! Tenker på deg vet du! :)

Very nice words and reminder to end up the photo set. Great photos as always and I love how the country green grass looks. So charming and so serene. So, is it where you've been spending your weekends? Ooohhhh am jealous again. Ha!

You covered everything: "all things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small". You have a very lovely weekend hideaway.

What a lovely welcome to spring in Finland. These are all beautiful, but my favourite is the meadow of yellow flowers and the red wooden house half-hidden in the trees. It seems to capture a spirit of Finland that I remember from my visit.

Hei Eva, olet todella kehittynyt kuvaajana. Etsin meiliosoitettasi, vanha ei enää toimi. Olisi yksi tiedustelu lähetettävänä. Omani on yhä sama. Terveisin Eija Isomäki
