Watery Wednesday N:o 35 - Calm or gushing, which do you prefer?

Watery Wednesday is hosted by 2sweetnsaxy. Jump in your canoo and go for a splash around in the watery parts of our planet by clicking on the above icon.

An evening image of the little summer cafe at the Soukka marina while it still was more or less empty of boats

A detail of lake Hannus where I often walk my dogs

The rapids from the Espoo manor area, that has been figuring here at different interwalls before too

They split into two in one place and here's the more narrow part of the same rapids

Happy cyber splashing everyone

Whoa! I really love the first one a lot! Are these HDR'ed? They kind of have that "gritty" texture like they're rendered that way, but I haven't done enough with HDR to be an expert.

Played around a bit with the contrast,light/shade and sharpness tools of the images with Picasa but not done anything particular too them.

They are all excelleny but the final one is the best to my way of thinking.

I LOVE the rough water in the rapids. Nicely captured!

Wonderful watery images. The reflections with the tree image feels peaceful to me.

:) Men fasaner? Nei - da må jeg nok til Finland!

I am particularly fond of the birch (?) by the side of lake Hannus.

I prefer the crashing, noisy, spraying, chaotic, and so on rapids/cascades/waterfalls. They usually provide a nice contrast to the still and quiet forests where I find scenes for my water photos. Needless to say, I like the last two best.

If I have to choose between the calm water and the wild one, I'll take both, if you don't mind!

My favourite is the reflections of the birches!! But the last one with the rushing water is a close second!
I know what you mean about the horsetails in the garden. Thankfully, I have never had that problem, but there have been other weeds...
Last night, I transferred all my photos to the external hard drive, so can't do a post till this evening. I have uploaded the 280 photos from the tulip festival, but haven't edited them yet. Did you know that after the first couple of hours, you can actually get tired of tulips?

The calm water pictures are gorgeous, but I prefer the rushing waters and waterfalls as you know. Great pictures for Watery Wednesday.
